"In order to ensure the smooth implementation of the first foreign trade logistics general contracting project, we have started preparing transportation plans since the first half of this year, actively connected with relevant departments such as motor transport, ports, shipping, customs, etc., and jointly discussed work connections, division of labor and service matters in each link, and prepared for the start of the project." Fu Yebin, deputy manager of the marketing department of Zhanjiang 188bet Logistics Center, introduced.
Compared with traditional transportation methods, the multimodal logistics general contracting foreign trade transportation service launched by the 188bet department has the characteristics of "one entrustment, one box to the end, and one settlement". It can reduce the troubles of customers and multiple carriers in various links such as roads and railways to communicate and negotiate documents handover, short-barge transportation, and cargo replacement. It can also allow customers to track the direction of goods throughout the process, greatly improving transportation efficiency and effectively compressing the comprehensive logistics cost.
According to Fu Yebin, the first order goods are 2 20-foot boxes of Guangxi stone. According to the contract, the goods will be coordinated by the Zhanjiang 188bet Logistics Center to coordinate the transportation links of roads, railways, ports, customs, sea transportation and other transportation links to complete cross-border joint transportation from the Dolomite Industrial Park in Wuxuan County, Laibin City through Guigang Station, Qinzhou Port to Haifang Port, Vietnam. During the process, customers do not need to connect one by one. Fu Yebin said that customers are still adding orders, and they are expected to be put into boxes in series in the future, with the expected transportation volume reaching more than 10,000 tons this year.
