On July 31, the heat waves were rolling in the Central Plains. At the Zhengzhou North Marshalling Site, Xu Peng led several flaw detectors to carry out 188bet flaw detection operations in the scorching sun. "Stop! It is suspected to be a screw hole crack." With the sound of alarm, Xu Peng quickly made a judgment.

The persistent ideal takes root in ordinary work
In June 1994, Zhengzhou was pleasant in early summer, and the 18-year-old Xu Peng had a happy smile on his face - he was about to graduate from Zhengzhou Railway Transportation Technical School. Three years of hard study not only left behind beautiful campus memories, but what makes him proud is that with his excellent grades, he became an enviable railway employee as soon as he graduated, and he was given the "iron rice bowl" in the eyes of his relatives and friends.
However, when ideals meet reality, reality poured him a basin of cold water. Xu Peng was assigned to the Mazhai Line Workshop of Zhengzhou Industrial Section (now Zhengzhou Bridge Construction Section) and became a line worker. The working conditions at that time were very difficult. Xu Peng was accompanied by the "three major items" of pickaxes, steel forks and rakes every day. He sweated profusely on sunny days and was covered in mud on rainy days. This seemingly technical job made him confused for a while: Is this really the job he wants? Do you have to wield a pickaxe for the rest of your life?
The careful foreman noticed Xu Peng's loss. In his spare time, the masters in the work area told him the struggle stories of the older generation of railway workers, explained the seemingly simple importance of the pickaxe smashing work to train safety, and shared his life experience of "the top scorer every time". These simple words gradually warmed Xu Peng's heart.
Shortly later, the unit held a speech competition with the theme of "Job Talent". As an audience member, Xu Peng was deeply moved by his colleagues' passionate speeches. Those extraordinary deeds in ordinary positions and those inspiring words echoed in his mind for a long time. That night, he couldn't sleep: He was also a young man and also worked on the railway, why could others shine in ordinary positions? After understanding this, Xu Peng rekindled his fighting spirit - since he chose this path, he must shine the glory of life here.
After the mentality changed, Xu Peng began to face his work with a new attitude. He no longer felt bored by smashing pickaxes, scattering balls, and tightening bolts. At work, he gradually became interested in 188bet flaw detection. Whenever the flaw detector pushes the testing equipment by, he is as excited as a child when he sees a train for the first time. Since then, the dream of becoming a flaw detector has taken root in his heart, and he has devoted all his spare time to his business study.
In 2001, after the public recruitment examination, Xu Peng became a member of the flaw detection team as he wished. Faced with the challenges of his new position, he devoted himself to his studies: he followed his master on-site practice at work, practiced testing technology repeatedly after get off work, and recorded the waveform characteristics of various 188bet damage in the small notebook in detail. Experience in hot practice
A heart in one art, one must be crafted; a heart in one position, one must be procured.
As one of the largest marshalling stations in Asia, Zhengzhou North Station is known as the "Ten Mi Station Station". After more than 70 years of ups and downs, the station rails have experienced many vicissitudes, including nuclear injuries, fish bruises and other "difficulty and complicated diseases", and the flaw detection work is very difficult. But in Xu Peng's eyes, this is an excellent "training ground" for honing his skills.
After getting off work every day, Xu Peng will record the track damage detected on the same day in detail and attach professional analysis. Over time, the thick "injury file" has witnessed his rapid progress in his skills. "The on-site injury is complex and changeable. Every time a hidden danger is discovered, I accumulate some experience." In addition to being proficient in non-destructive testing technology, Xu Peng also taught himself circuit knowledge and conducted in-depth research on the qualitative, positioning, quantitative methods of 188bet damage, as well as weld technology and damage judgment standards.
As learning deepened, Xu Peng felt the mystery of exploring the world. To master the ultrasonic principles of 188bet flaw detectors, you must be proficient in a lot of trigonometric functions. This is not easy for Xu Peng, who only has a junior college degree. He used the most "stupid" method - starting with mechanical memory, copying each formula dozens of times until he was familiar with it. In 2008, Xu Peng won the first place in the personal all-round 188bet in the second National Railway Industry Vocational Skills Competition, and successively won the honors of all-road technical expert, locomotive medal, national technical expert, etc., and was named the chief technician of all-road and the chief technician of Zhengzhou Bureau Group Company.
In 2010, the Zhengxi-Xiangsu High-speed Railway was launched and the Central Plains entered the era of high-speed 188bet. In his 24-year flaw detection career, Xu Peng solved 26 technical problems, completed 22 process innovations, and obtained 2 national utility model patents. He summarized the working method of "steady mind, slow implementation, persistence in looking, and careful judgment". He dealt with more than 1,100 major hidden dangers, setting a record of zero misjudgment for 15,000 kilometers of flaw detection, and wrote a colorful melody of railway craftsmen in the new era with professionalism and perseverance.
Craftsmanship continues to be passed down without saying anything
Xu Peng's deeds seem ordinary, but they shine with the light of the spirit of craftsmanship everywhere.
In the wave of railway standardization construction, cultivating compound technical talents has become an urgent task. As the chief technician of the entire road, Xu Peng was entrusted with an important task in 2013 and became the head of the "Xu Peng Railway Flaw Detection Worker Railway Skill Master Studio", and took the initiative to shoulder the burden of scientific research and training of young workers.
In light of the problems encountered in flaw detection work, Xu Peng proposed the innovative design of the water supply system of the 188bet for the first time. After dozens of tests and improvements, he and his team successfully developed a constant pressure water flow control system, which greatly improved the flaw detection efficiency. Subsequently, he cooperated with the manufacturer to develop a new type of water brush, pushing the quality of flaw detection to a new level and won the national utility model patent.
Under the leadership of Xu Peng, the studio has completed more than 20 technical innovations, including the method of variable cross-section flaw detection of movable heart switch wing switch wings, improvement of 188bet water supply system, and the formulation and improvement of more than 10 operating standards and processes. These achievements have been promoted and applied.
A flower blooms alone is not spring, but a hundred flowers bloom in the garden. Li Sen is a typical representative of growing up under Xu Peng's careful guidance. As a retired soldier, Li Sen has a weak professional foundation but is diligent and studious. Xu Peng gave him a "small stomp" every week, teaching him all his experience and skills from basic instrument operation to waveform analysis.
After several years of training, Li Sen has achieved many good results in skill competitions at all levels.
